Not that I have any interest in Kagura's stuff, but I think this would be more annoying if the games weren't available DRM-free elsewhere. Fortunately, they are. I'm curious what the rationale actually is for not wanting to bring any more of their games over, but my guess is that it's because they're *mostly* shitty RPG Maker trash; not because of the adult content.

Imagine how mentally ill someone must be to not champion real crime being prosecuted, but to champion the removal of pure fiction.
I think they realze that if they don't sell a game, then they will also not make any monies from that game.
Ouch!
I honestly would like to tell GOG they lost money, but I just gave them 75 USD today...

They will lose additional revenue from me though. I've supported a good amount of the adult games here and many I would not bought if they weren't on GOG. Kagura and Jast are DRM-free though and I don't feel guilty about buying a game every few months from either of them. Shoot, I've had a Jast account since their subsidiary, G-Collections, had its own website.

Should GOG have done better about keeping adult games separate from the rest? Yeah, sure. Should they have curated some of these games a little better? Oh, yes. Do I think they should keep selling Kagura/Jast games? Yep and I put every one that I think might have decent story/gameplay on the Dreamlist. Not all of the games they offer are worthwhile and Jast seems to be suffering from a dearth of decent stuff lately.

If I can speculate, we've gotten a lot more desired releases since GOG stopped promoting adult games as much. Maybe this isn't about the puritanical users that like to hang around the forums. Maybe it isn't about payment processors. Maybe Capcom, Konami and other publishers are playing hardball and saying "we won't let you have our stuff sitting next to college sex simulator 7 if you can't hide it".

That's my 2 cents and then some. GOG still owes us Chevalier History Append and Lust for Darkness, though.

Tokyo Necro as well. Never forget.

Also it's not just eroge we are missing. When was the last time Xseed and Idea Factory released anything here? Unless i am mistaken,
Kati's Route DLC for Akiba's Trip 2 (August 2023, Xseed) and Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters (September 2023, Idea Factory).

It feels to me that gog has burned too many bridges.

What a pile of utter wank-drivel. FFS!
I hope Gog will also get rid of the Inceton Games and other Daz 3D trash .
Just use Paysafecard or GOG wallet (load your money into wallet first so the payment company will not have to link the purchase to something forbidden) and thats it. I dunno the issue here... get creative. Besides, if someone is using wallet, remember to place a tip of 25% toward GOG with every "hentai-purchase", so they can afford the lawyer-bills of those people going to the curt and it may even be "worth it" to them, this way.

There is virtually nothing money can not buy because money is might and will always find a way circumventing something apparently impossible to be bought.

If GOG is not realizing this condition, then money could totally leave them someday with all its consequences. Steam luckily got "the power of the mass" and a good investor known as Gabe, so they can actually afford to oppose some money matters, up to a certain point at least.

Of course, i dunno why GOG is not setting up a adult filter... although, Steam is already using it and it does not look like it is helping them. Steam and now even GOG is simply with a to big "signature" so they can become the target of those acting pretty offensive toward such content (which can be any entity, be it customers, politicians or even a payment company).

I only can see 2 working methods for the future:

1. GOG is finally making proper curation, especially on the "sexually loaded" games, so it will reduce the bad signature.
2. Sexual content is not able to become delivered on bigger sites anymore and have to become "damned" into some niche-places (which is already the case but not entirely yet).

Nonetheless, gamers do have much to fear with Collective Shout

Sjees... this is a quote from the article about 'Public Shout' earlier.....

You know, journalism is also a place where things tend to start go wrong..... Or better said, how can i call a personal message delivered as a news item ?

Or is a minority truly a minority ?
How does funding truly work for certain kind of genres, for example, aren't they heavily backed by illegal obtained funds ?

Personally i am glad with this kind of development.... I mean, if you must underline at the start of the story that all the characters you see are of adult age you know something is wrong

What? What genres are you talking about?

I would say the answer to your question is: "No, don't be silly." If you have a reason to think otherwise, please elaborate.
Depends on who is stealing it. If a hentai-lover or drug-addict is stealing something it is usually considered illegal but it may not be considered illegal on many other cases. Illegal is a subjective and rule-based word.

Certainly, silly is a good word describing him, or simply weird sometimes.

Ah yes about the age: The people usually say "they can read you" and they are usually reading the age by superficial traits because obviously they can not see the genetics and they want to read something so it fits their legal or beauty-shape, mentally. However... it can also be done with words in case "other sort of readings" is considered inaccurate.

I hope they will get rid of you ... but that's it - just a wish. So I will have to continue to read your stupid one liners.

The statement alone is absolutely silly - but devs are forced to add this because of laws that are as stupid as the statement. So is your claim that these games are mostly funded by illegal funds. 99% of these games are funded by Patreons which is absolutely legal.

It is well known that certain area's of the work sector most definitely belong to the 'grey area's'. Everything that has to do with porn or adult pleasure for a fact. Here the legal and illegal meet.
